Victory Outreach is an international, church-oriented Christian ministry called to the task of evangelizing and discipling the hurting people of the world, with the message of hope and plan of Jesus Christ.
This call involves a commitment to plant and develop churches and training centers, in strategic cities of the world.
Victory Outreach inspires and instills within people the desire to fulfill their potential in life with a sense of dignity, belonging, and destiny.
Victory Outreach works cooperatively with others of mutual purpose in accomplishing the task before us.
Our Story
Pastor Benny and Evelyn Jaques know firsthand what it means to be changed by God. Breaking free from a lifestyle of drug addiction and crime that had landed them both in various correctional institutions, their salvation wasn't just spiritual — it was total transformation.
After many years of serving in ministry at their home church in Southern California, Benny and Evelyn felt the undeniable call of God to begin pastoring a church of their own.
In November of 1991, God sent this couple to Las Vegas. They settled at 500 N. 28th St. with nothing but a promise from God.
Instrumental in the restoration of countless drug addicts, gang members, and hurting families across the greater Las Vegas Valley.
Pastor Benny and Evelyn now oversee a number of churches in the Nevada Region and are recognized by city officials as a lighthouse of hope.
What We Believe
For nearly 60 years, the foundational beliefs of Victory Outreach have been evident in the thousands of lives transformed through our doors. We are Evangelical and Pentecostal in our faith — rooted in God's love and the transforming power of Jesus Christ for all people.
We believe the church's mission is to reach the lost as mandated by Christ — "Go and make disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:19).
We believe the Spirit of God is still actively working — through the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, speaking in tongues, and spiritual gifts given to every believer (Acts 1:4–8, 2:1–4).
Victory Outreach is uniquely distinguished by its belief in God's unconditional love and transforming power for hurting people from every walk of life.
We hold the Bible as the inspired, authoritative Word of God — the foundation for everything we teach, believe, and practice as a church.
We believe no one is too far gone. The Gospel has the power to break addiction, restore families, and completely renew a person's life.
We believe the local church is God's vehicle for change in a community — a place of belonging, discipleship, and mission for every person.
Our Heritage
In 1967, Sonny and Julie Arguinzoni were led by God to start a ministry dedicated to reaching the hurting people of the world's inner cities. Beginning in a small building on Gless St. in the heart of East Los Angeles, they reached out to the surrounding areas with the message of Jesus Christ.
From those humble beginnings, God developed a worldwide ministry still dedicated to the original vision — reaching drug addicts and gang members, and today impacting people from all walks of life across the globe.
Victory Outreach is the recognized leader in the field of sustainable transformational ministry. In Victory Outreach churches and centers worldwide, it is compassion that triumphs — faith that endures.
